Santa Visits the Safety Village Wednesday, December 7, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

For one night only, on Wednesday, December 7th, 2011, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Santa Claus will visit The Children’s Safety Village of Windsor and Essex County, at 7911 Forest Glade Drive in Windsor. Families are invited to bring their children out to visit with Santa Claus, ride the jeeps, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, watch a safety-themed puppet show, have their child fingerprinted, AND meet Elmer the Safety Elephant, Sparky the Fire Dog and Siren the E.M.S. Dog. Admission is only $5.00 per child, for this fun, activity filled event. All proceeds will benefit the ongoing operations of the Children’s Safety Village of Windsor and Essex County.

Since 2003, the Children’s Safety Village of Windsor and Essex County has been providing educational safety programs aimed at eliminating preventable injuries and fatalities among school aged children (Kindergarten to Grade 5) in a creative, fun and interactive environment. Students experience hands-on training from instructors from both Fire and Police services that helps engender a positive attitude towards safety that they will remember and practice well into adulthood.
