Windsor Parade Corporation Santa Claus Parades

The Windsor Parade Corporation is an independent not for profit organization that is pleased to present 5 Santa Claus Parades for the 2012 Season.

The objects for which the Windsor Parade Corporation (a direct descendant of the Windsor Jaycees the original producers of the Windsor Santa Claus Parade) was incorporated are the establishment of annual holiday parades and activities for the purpose of preserving, perpetuating and celebrating holiday traditions.

With a proud history of service to the Windsor and Essex County Communities, and a formidable track record of producing innovative, entertaining, and professionally organized parades, they look forward to the launch of this year’s parades.

Their current year theme is "1812-2012 A Commemorative Christmas" and pays tribute to the 200 years of peace that has prevailed since the conclusion of the war of 1812.

Their Season of Santa Claus parades began on Nov. 17 in Kingsville and recently on Nov. 24 Amherstburg was  in the spotlight when thousands of spectators lined the streets to watch this family favourite event.

Next up, November 30, 6:30 p.m. Tecumseh welcomes Santa and the parade as part of their Christmas in Tecumseh event that attracted thousands of visitors for the inaugural event last year.

December 1, 6 p.m. you certainly won’t want to miss the 44th Annual Windsor Santa Claus Parade.  Once again the parade will start at Atkinson Park on Riverside Drive and March west into the heart of Olde Sandwich Towne.  There is not a more fitting backdrop for a commemorative parade than this historic area, where a plethora of ancillary events will take place throughout the day, with the highlight of course being the Big Parade, steeped in history, and packed full of great entertainment. Sandwich Towne will be decorated in a festive fashion that will lift the Christmas spirit in both the young and the young at heart.

The Canadian Cow Girls are participating; The Hit Men from Rochester, New York; Western Mustangs Marching Bands and there was also be horse drawn carriage rides, movies, a dinner with Santa and more!

December 8at 6 p.m., Santa will make his last stop for the Parade Corporation for this season in beautiful downtown Essex.  In 2011 a huge crowd welcomed the new nighttime parade format and provided for an awesome evening.
