A Bridge Too Far

Posted October 19, 2009 @ 2:55PM

Things I Think I Think:
A Bridge Too Far (a.k.a. A Bridge over the river of Common sense?)

Can some one help me please? (God knows I need it!) How is it that we live in the busiest cross border trading community in the world and we can’t seem to cross the river of common sense?

As I see it (since this is my Blog … it is how I see it.) we have a private citizen, entrepreneur … “gazillionaire” wishing to build us a bridge! In-deed Mr. Maron has already spend several zillions preparing to build a twined bridge and we can’t get the politicians to get out of his way and let him build it at little to know cost to the tax payer!

Instead the pollutions wish to push “study after self serving study”; proposals that will not fit “our community requirements” nor serve to satisfy anyone. Who wishes the party of Common Sense” was in office vs. the name chasers and political do righters who only serve the “Party of Self Indulgence”.

COME ON PEOPLE” … does any of this make sense. Vs. Private citizen and business man wishes to spend to help his business and provide a gateway of commerce and trade with a far … far overdue upgrade and we say no … no thanks we’d rather spend “gazillions” of tax payer dollars. (Please tax me more to pay for the government bridge … I have lots of money just laying around my house).

Next you will tell me that Wayne Gretzky is offering to build us a Hockey arena in downtown Windsor at little or no cost to the tax payers and we will turn him down to!

WAIT! This didn’t already happen did it? Please help.

At least that’s what I think I think.

JK
