“Working With the Environment” Art Show & Silent Auction at Devonshire Mall

Corresponding to the art theme of Biz X’s June issue is the 1st Annual “Working with the Environment” Art Show & Silent Auction. May 16 – June 5, 2011
Devonshire Mall is proud to host the 1st Annual Art Show and Silent Auction from May 16 – June 5, 2011. In partnership with CAW Local 200 and CAW Local 444, along with the Greater Essex County District School Board, the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board, and the Windsor and Essex County French School Board, the exhibit will highlight art works by students created with themes of “working”, “the environment” or a combination of the two.
24 pieces of art created by local students from 24 different schools will be on display throughout Devonshire Mall. The art works will be up for sale through a silent auction and all of the proceeds will help raise funds for respective schools and an environmental organization of their students’ collective choice. In addition, two winners of the show will awarded $500 each for furthering their artistic talents: one winner chosen by a panel of 3 local artists and the other chosen by the student artists’ peers.
