Windsor Loses Dessert

Recently, The Creperie Omer (formerly located at 1285 Ottawa) closed its doors one final time. The French themed crepe restaurant served Windsorites large gourmet crepes filled with everything from cheesecake to chicken. While it’s easy to find a piece of cake, a slice of pie, or an ice cream sundae in Windsor restaurants, crepes, especially those with the vast range of fillings and flavours that were once found at the Creperie Omer, are a rare species in our local dessert industry.
While the Creperie Omer with its friendly staff, Paris themed decor, and flare for amazing dessert will truly be missed, this city is now in need of another crepe cafe. Is anyone up to the challenge?
