5 From The Publisher: Sparky Needs Your Donations!
For the past few years, the “After Party,” which follows the “Biz X Awards Gala,” collects toys and
cash donations to benefit Sparky’s Toy Drive, run by Windsor Fire & Rescue. Last year we hit a
new record with $5,000 in cash and toys brought to the gala (see top photo). For 2014 we want to
do even better! Find out how you can help.
6 Editorial Viewpoint
Eric Lamoureux (middle photo courtesy of Dusko Pilic) took a leap of faith three years ago and
relocated his high-tech business Netmon to the heart of downtown Windsor. Now he tells Biz X
columnist Alan Halberstadt he is planning to flee back to the suburbs and expose the absence of
safety and security and beat police on Ouellette Avenue during daylight business hours.

at the “17th Annual Biz X Awards Gala,” we have plenty of worthy nominees who are also ready to share the spotlight on the pages of this cover story!
